Overview

Everest Base Camp trek is one of the most famous and highly demanded trek in Nepal. The trails leads to the footsteps of Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Edmund Hillary, the first Mount Everest summiteers. The scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla takes you through the most adventurous airport in the world. Everything in this trek is at an extreme level. The adventure, fun, the mesmerizing beauty of the glossy mountains, the captivating moments with snow, and the stay in the heart of the Himalayas all give the best pleasures of life. The ultimate challenge in the EBC trail is the altitude for which one needs to be prepared. Other than that, the panoramic view of the mountains, the mountain ranges from Kala patthar, the lifestyle of the bravest Sherpas, the drastic change in the culture and traditions, everything is truly exhilarating. 
EBC trek further offers the opportunities to go sightseeing around Sagarmatha National Park, a world heritage site which is a home to a variety of Himalayan floras and faunas, to get a closer look at the highest Buddhist monasteries in the world, and of course the most gratifying of them all, the walk to Everest Base Camp itself. 

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu:

Our airport representative will receive you at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) and transfer you to your hotel. Depending upon the time of your arrival, pre-trip meeting will be hosted either on the first day or the first hour of the second day. During the evening, you will be taken for a welcome dinner. Day 2 : Full day sightseeing tour in Kathmandu:

After having breakfast, then will head towards Kathmandu for a city tour such as :
Boudhanath Stupa: Situated on the northeastern outskirts of Kathmandu, this is another holy place for Buddhists. The dome, mandala, pinnacle, umbrella, and the whole Stupa itself is a true works of art and beauty. Recently renovated Stupa post-earthquake gives serenity to the crowded city. Overnight at hotel.
Pashupatinath Temple: The holy Hindu temple, Pashupatinath is the temple of Lord Shiva and also comprises of many other temples. This UNESCO world heritage site is magnificent in structure and the holy Bagmati River that flows alongside is where cremation rituals is performed.
Patan Durbar Square: One of the three Dubar squares, Patan Durbar Square also offers a bunch of temples, Krishna Temple, Banglamukhi Temple, various statues, palaces, the courtyards of ancient kings.
Patan Museum: Patan Museum located within Dubar Square has a collection of the ancient Kings, their weapons, the utensils they used and many more. Patan Museum is another beautiful site to visit at Patan. Evening at Kathmandu.

Day 3 : Fly to Lukla (2804 meters). Trek to Phakding (2610 meters)-3 hours.

Wake up early morning and head to the Airport for the 35 minute scenic flight to Tenzing and Hillary Airport at Luklasituated at 2804 meters. After landing at Lukla, we have time to explore the village while our Sherpa crew sorts and loads our trekking equipment. Then we begin our trek by descending towards the DudhKoshi River where we join the main trail to Namche Bazaar, located just above Chaunrikharka (2713m). The walk this day is easy and after passing through the small village of Ghat (2550m), it is a short walk to Phakding.

Day 4 : Trek to Namche Bazaar (3441 meters) 5.30 hours.

We continue trekking along the banks of the DudhKoshi, crossing this majestic river many times on exciting suspension bridges laden with prayer flags. After entering Sagamartha National Park, the trail climbs steeply with breathtaking views. Namche Bazaar known as the Gateway to Everest is home to many quality restaurants, hotels, lodges, shops, money exchanges, internet cafes and bakeries. Namche is one of the biggest villages along the whole Everest trail.

Day 5 : Namche Bazaar Acclimatization day.

This is a day to relax in Namche Bazaar.We will spend this day in order to acclimatize and adjust to the thinning of the air. We will go for a short trek to a museum the traditional customs of the Sherpa people is celebrated. Wealso hike up the Syangboche Airport around Everest View Hotel. From this point, we can see rewarding views of the Himalayas with stunning sunrise and sunset over the panorama of Khumbu peaks. Overnight at Guesthouse.Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included

Day 6 : Trek to Tengboche Monastery (3860 meters) 5 hours.

Today we trek to Tengboche from Namche Bazaar.The trek continues along the rushing glacial waters of the DudhKoshi with magnificent views of the mountains. We trek to an altitude of 3860 meters. On reaching Tengboche you will see the local monastery. Inside the monastery are incredibly ornate wall hangings, a 20-foot sculpture of Buddha, and the musical instruments and robes of the Lamas. The group will be taken to observe a prayer ceremony either in the evening or morning depending on how the day's trekking went.

Day 7 : Trek to Dingboche (4350 meters) 5.30 hours.

Wake up early in the morning and after breakfast wehead towardsDingboche.From Tengboche the trail drops to Debuche, crosses another exciting suspension bridge on the ImjaKhola, and climbs to Pangboche amongst thousands of manistones. Our uphill trek continues, taking us to the quaint traditional Sherpa village of Dingboche with its exquisite views of Lhotse, Island Peak, and AmaDablam. We take our time so we avoid getting affected by the altitude.

Day 8 : Trek to Chhukung (4710 meters) and trek back to Dingboche. 4.30 hours.

Today you can enjoy another day for acclimatization. We will have a trip to Chhukung Valley via the ImjaKhola valley to get a marvelous view of the surrounding mountains, especially Lhotse’s massive south wall. We return back to Dingboche in the evening.

Day 9 : Trek to Lobuche (4910 meters) 5 hours.

After having breakfast, we head on to Lobuche.Today, the trail continues along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier and passes by stone memorials for climbers who have perished on nearby summits.We continue to climb as we head to the altitude of 4910 meters at Lobuche which is really just a few huts at the foot of giant Lobuche peak. Some breathing problems may arise today due to the altitude.

Day 10 : Trek to Everest Base Camp (5365 meters) then back to GorakShep (5180 meters). 7.30 hours.

This day is the most adventurous day of the trek. It isa difficult yet fun walk along the Khumbu Glacier and up to Everest Base Camp at 5365 meters, the closest you can get to Mt. Everest without mountaineering equipment. There will likely be a team about to attempt the summit. The view of the Khumbu Icefall from the Base Camp is spectacular. We return back to GorakShep for the night.

Day 11 : Hike up to Kalapatthar (5545 meters) early in the morning and trek down to Periche (4200 meters). 7 hours.

We wake up early in the morning and then hike up to Kalapatthar. Most of the morning of this day is spent climbing Mt. KalaPatthar, a small peak (by Himalayan standards) at 5545 meters. The ascent is demanding but the climber gets the most magnificent mountain panorama: Everest, the highest point on the planet at  8848 meters, towers directly ahead, and on all sides loom the other giants, Nuptse, Pumori, Chagatse, Lhotse and countless others. We make a quick descent to GorakShep, a tiny hamlet at 5180 meters then trek down to Periche. Overnight at Guesthouse. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included

Day 12 : Trek to Namche Bazaar (3441 meters) 5.30 hours.

From Periche we take a slightly different route down to Orsho, then to Pangboche village. Here is the oldest monastery in the region which contains what is said to be the scalp and bones of a 'Yeti', or the abominable snowman. Leaving the mountains behind us, our descent takes us through Tengboche Monastery at elevation of 3860 meters before continuing back to the town of Namche Bazaar at 3441meters. We arrive back to Namche Bazaar in the afternoon. Overnight at Guesthouse.Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.

Day 13 : Trek to Lukla (2804 meters) 6 hours.

After having the morning breakfast we head to Lukla, the starting point of the trek. Reminiscing the mountains and the tough walk, we reach Lukla after walking for almost 6 hours. Overnight at Guesthouse.Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.

Day 14 : Morning flight back to Kathmandu.

The morning flight of 35 minutes from Lukla takes you back to Kathmandu. Bidding farewell to the glimpses of the mountains, we land at Tribhuvan International Airport. You are fetched upon by our representative and transferred back to the hotel. After resting for some time, you can stroll around Thamel, buy souvenirs and relax according to your preference.

Day 15 : Transfer to the International Airport for departure

This is your last day in Kathmandu. After breakfast, you will be fetched upon by our guide; 3 hours prior to your flight time and drop you at the Tribhuvan International Airport for your final departure.Breakfast Included.
