Among all the trekking trails here, Manaslu circuit trek is a trail where not many people have put their steps on. Though the exciting route of Manaslu trek with the World's eighth highest peak, Manaslu (8,163 m) was officially opened to trekkers in 1991, this trail is less visited. The trek at Manaslu region starts at the elevation of 1000 m and reaches up to the altitude of 5200 m which is why a trekker gets the best opportunity to witness the wide range of flora typically of the mid hills and the alpine regions of Nepal. Manaslu region is encircled by the eight highest mountains of the world. The trail reaches close to the Chinese border and is able to give the trekker an idea of the intact tradition and culture in the high and the lowlands of the region. The trek starts from Gorkha, continues over Larkya La Pass down to Marshyangdi River and ends at Besisahar, Lamjung.
