Overview

Upper Mustang is an ancient Himalayan Kingdom which is situated in the northern central part of Nepal. Upper Mustang trail is one of the exotic trekking circuits in Nepal. Upper Mustang trek passes through the magnificent high peaks, glaciers, and alpine valleys. The thousand years of isolation has kept the culture, lifestyle and heritage alive from centuries till date. The houses in Mustang are mostly made from stone and sun baked mud bricks. The city wall and the four storey palace in Lo-Manthang are some of the beautiful architectures of Mustang region. In Upper mustang trekking we offer the visit into the remote Trans-Himalayan mountain area with Tibetan influence culture. Mustang, a land where the soul of man is still considered to be as real as the feet he walks on: a land said to be "barren as a dead deer" but where beauty and happiness abound in spite of hardship, was a part of the Tibetan Kingdom of Gungthang until 1830's. The wall city of Lo Monthang, unofficial capital of Mustang still remains a kingdom and has a king.
