Bardia is situated 585 kms south west of Kathmandu.Bardia National Park covering an are of 968 sq km, is the largest National park in the lowland area of Nepal in the Terai. For the travellers Bardia is a treassure troves for explorer wildlife experience in the world.With 8 types of ecosystems ranging in diversity from flood plains to dense forest, Bardia is an area not only of prime habitat for a wide variety of wildlife, but an area holding the key to the survival of many endangered species.This is the best place to see tigers, wild elephants and a host of other rare and not-so-rare animals and birds. It is also the only place in Nepal to see freshwater dolphins and black buck antelopes.
Day 1 : Arrival in Takurdwara (Bardia Np) check in Hotel .
After the lunch, village visit. You will visit the temple area, the Bazar and you will enter in a real typical tharu house and see the local life. Diner and night in Hotel.
Day 2 : Jungle walk (full day)
After an early breakfast, we go on foot in the national park for the day with a naturalist guide and a porter. There are good possibilities to see one horned rhino, wild Asian elephants or Bengal tiger among other animals.Picnic lunch evening back to lodge diner and night in hotel .
Day 3 : Full day Program
After breakfast, we drive one hour to Chisapani, over the Karnali Bridge. Then we begin the floating safari (on raft). There are no big rapids on the river and this excursion offers good opportunities for magnificent landscapes and birdlife among other animals. Once in a while we stop the raft for small walks in wildlife prone areas.Picnic lunch.Diner and night at hotel and Evening local Tharu culture dance program .
Day 4 : Departure
After an early cup of tea, you will go on elephant back for a safari (2h). Elephants are very adapted to go inside the vegetation and give good possibilities to get close to rhinos.After brekfast we will farewell and help to departure your distination.
