Tamang Heritage Trek 14N/15D

Nepal is a country of many wonders .Nepal has many ethnic community and many spoken language. The peaceful co-existence of all ethnic groups altogether represents unity in diversity. While trekking in the trail , we come across many of these people. Trekking in Langtang region is attractive due to its offer trekkers gorgeous valley and pilgrimage tourist attractions for both Hindus and Buddhists.Langtang Valley is the bordering Himalayan Region from Kathmandu valley, few hours drive from Kathmandu will take you to the beautiful Langtang region.The people living in the highlands of the Langtang region are certainly Nepalese but being the descendant of the Tibetan origin, they look like the Tibetans. Hence, Langtang region is one of the most popular trekking regions for those wishing a short trek from Kathmandu into the Himalayas influenced by Tibetan lifestyle. Moreover, accompanying with the varieties of rhododendron, bamboo forests, majestic waterfalls and snow-capped Himalayas make the trek one of the most diverse treks. It is rewarding trek in a less frequented area.

Day 01 : Kathmandu Arrival (1300m)

Up on arrival in Kathmandu, we will welcome you at the airport then transfer to you hotel. Evening welcome dinner with cultural show.Overnight at hotel.

Day 02 : Kathmandu Sightseeing.

Having breakfast then start an interesting tour around Kathmandu. We will arrange a tour guide of your chosen language to give you a tour and introduction to our rich culture amongst our ancient and fascinating history and religion.Am: Boudhanath & Pashupatinath. Pm: Patan Durbar Square and Soyambhunath then back to hotel.Overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1467m)

Having breakfast then heading to Syabrubesi .We Travelling through Trishuli (Nuwakot).Its take 8 hours via drive. Overnight at Syabrubesi.

Day 4: Syabrubesi to Gatlang (2238m)

Today we heading to Gatlang after having breakfast.You begin with a climb up behind the town to the Tamang settlement of Goljung, this is the hardest section, from the top you then descend to Gatlang overall taking about 6 hours. The views today are lovely, the valley bellow and mountains in the distance, you might catch a glimpse of Langtang Himal.Overnight at Gatlang.

Day 5: Trek  to Tatopani (2607m)

Having breakfast then heading to Tatopani.Today’s walk is about 3 hours, you begin by dropping through the village of Gatlang to the valley floor, you will cross the river and pass through some lovely Buddhist prayer walls before crossing the river to begin your descent up the other side to Tatopani.  The meaning of which is “Hot water” you will find some natural springs here, well maintained and great for a dip after your days walk.Overnight at Tatopani.

Day 6: Tatopani to Thuman (2338m)

Trekking via Nagthali to Thuman will take around 5 hours. The panoramic views of Langtang, Kerung, and Ganesh Himal are fantastic, a great spot to relax and enjoy the scenery.Overnight at Thuman.

Day 7: Trek to Timure (1762m.)

Its takes about five hours to been Timure. While trekking from Thuman to Timure you can visit nearby historical Rasuwagadi. This day's trekking grants you an opportunity to observe Tibeto Burman Tamang culture on the two villages on the way. Timure is on the old trade route to Tibet.Overnight at Timure.

Day 8: Timure  to Briddham (2229m)

You can see Briddham from Thmuan, directly across the valley at virtually the same altitude, you will be walking for approximately 6 hours today.  Of course you have to drop to the valley floor in order to ascend the other side, you will be walking through lovely pine forests for the first part before ascending through local terraced landscape and small villages en route to Briddham.Overnight at Briddham.

Day 9: Trek to Lama hotel (2470m)

After 6 hours walking you will be in Lama hotel.you will be coming round/bypassing Syabru Besi as you make your way into the Langtang Valley.  The walk begins by leading you through lovely local farm land and into pretty forests.Overnight at Lama Hotel

Day 10: Trek to Langtang (3430m)

Wake up early morning then trek to Langtang.Your gentle climb to begin with soon steepens high above the river to Ghora Tabela. (2970m).  You will soon find yourself in open country with scattered Tamang settlements.  You will have climbed nearly 100m today relatively steadily.  The village here is home to some yak herds and cheese factories, worth exploring if you have the energy.Overnight at guest house.

Day 11: Langtang to Kyanjing Gompa (3870m)

You will climb to the ridge this morning marked with a big chorten and some Mani walls, from here you will have views of Kyanjing Gompa and the icefall from Langtang Lirung surrounded by snowy mountains.  You will be walking for around 3 hours today so time to explore the area this afternoon.Overnight at Kyanjing Gompa.

Day 12: Kyanjing Gompa to Lama Hotel (2470m)

You will return the way you came today following the Langtang Khola river to Langtang Village and on to Ghra Tabela and down to Lama Hotel.Overnight overthere.

Day 13: Trek  to Syabrubesi (1467m)

Its take 5 hour. Overnight at Syabrubesi.

Day 14: Syabrubesi to Kathmandu

A pleasant drive back to Kathmandu. Its take a 8-9 hours. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 15: Farewell friend.

We will transfer you airport as per your flight time.

What makes this trip different then others:We are working together with Village Environment Nepal a non-political and non-profit social organization. We contribute our support to the remote village of Panch Khuwa Deurali and many others villages (Gorkha and all over  Nepal) through donation, sponsorship and partnership in various projects.

Donation:We donates a percentage of business profits to the foundation on a yearly basis, which supports the ongoing maintenance cost required for Village School and we support to Divyenetra Community Orphan home and Community School.

We will  arrange any  hotel in Kathmandu as per your request.Room on twin sharing basis where you will find neat and clean environment.

During the trekking we will arrange your accommodation at standard tea house or lodge – room on twin sharing basis with attached bathroom however some places will not have attached bathroom so, bathroom are on sharing basis.


We offer breakfast in the hotel in Kathmandu but you have to pay your own lunch and dinner.

We will provide all meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner) during the trekking in Mountain area.


Vehicle:You will have a private tourist vehicle in Kathmandu.

Vehicle:Local bus/Private Vehicle as per your own interest for kathamndu to Syabru besi and Syabru Besi to Kathmandu.

Guide & Porter during the trekking:

During trekking we will provide a professional trekking guide (license holder). We arrange porter(s) to carry your gears (a porter can carry maximum 15 kg) and the porter will accompany with you. The number of porter depends on group size. We have a insured guides and porters as well.We will provide their  salary, accommodation, insurance, meals.

Travel Insurance:All trekkers / travelers are requested to insure their travel insurance before traveling Gosainkunda Trek. Please note that the insurance should be covered medical, air ambulance, helicopter rescue, and all treatment costs.
